Time for a progress update on the Turner high School Building Trades class project. This involves a full residential house build near the school, providing opportunities for hands-on experience to these high school students.
P-Tn installed a ProgressWEBCAM Site Monitoring unit to record construction progress, and provide real time access for the team, to help manage subcontractor & supplier activities. We have been capturing daily images and recently updated the full-build Time-lapse we’ve been editing for several months. Walls are up and roof framing is in progress! THIS VIDEO is fascinating to watch!
Our drone pilot visited the site recently as students were learning about roof & rafter framing from their high school instructor, Scott Hughes. We captured some aerial stills & video showing the current stage of the project’s progress, and had an opportunity to include some of the students who were on site that day. We’ve included that video at the end of the overall Time-Lapse of the build. Watch the DRONE FLIGHT VIDEO here, separately.
Needless to say, we’re pleased to have been asked to be a part of this program and would encourage others to learn more and become involved in this, or similar projects, in their community. Catalyst Construction (Prairie Village based Fine Home Builders) owners Travis Brungardt and Joe Cook, along with the BS and BEER / Building Science Symposium organization (BSandBEERkc.org) brought the program to P-Tn’s attention.
