We mentioned creating some GROUP Portraits this spring & summer. Now we’re sharing just a few of our individual shots that are sometimes requested when we handle more extensive field photography. On-location headshots might be situated in an office, like the LG Barcus staff photos for their website contact page. Or at a project location, such as these shots of Catalyst Construction’s owners, Travis Brungardt & Joe Cook. Both approaches capture the important people in your business, ... NEED TO KEEP ‘EYES’ ON YOUR JOBSITE?
EVERYBODY wants to keep ‘EYES’ on their jobsite. Who’s entering, and when? Has my material arrived? Are all of the crews on site? When did the last person leave at the end of the workday? Was the main gate closed? Anyone there on the weekend? When did that delivery occur? There are a lot of questions that might need answering, and you may not have been there when they happened. And, of course, you always want to know if someone is visiting when the site is not active. We can help with ... Read More about NEED TO KEEP ‘EYES’ ON YOUR JOBSITE?
A CREATIVE SPRING & SUMMER SEASON
P-Tn and our photographers have been busy throughout 2023 – thus far – and we hope the same has been true for all you, as well. In addition to exceptional growth in the sheer number and scale of PRE-Construction PHOTO/VIDEO Documentation assignments we have received, we have handled more “non-documentation” work than we’ve seen in several years! These assignments are more ‘creative’ in nature than our documentation imaging, and often involve finished building exterior views, nite shots of ... Read More about A CREATIVE SPRING & SUMMER SEASON
BUILDING SCIENCE INTRODUCTION
Surely you been noting that we often include the website bsandbeerkc.org in our social media and P-Tn.com BLOG posts, and we do so for good reason. We had the pleasure of refreshing (rebuilding) the site for two gentlemen who work tirelessly to teach the fine art of fine home building to the next generations of contractors and tradesmen. Building Science* is what they share .. affectionately referring to is as “BS*” .. and their efforts have spread nationwide!Learn more about the opportunities ... UMB BANK BRANCH TIME-LAPSE
And another ProgressWEBCAM Project Time-Lapse has just come through our editing department. This is nearly a one-year construction period on a new branch bank for United Missouri Bank – at I-435 and State Line. General Contractor, David E. Ross Construction, has been a P-Tn client for many years … this was our first ProgressWEBCAM installation for them. Have a look at this build, compressed to about two minutes! View our UMB BANK Time-Lapse. The final image is simply a ‘dressed-up’ webcam ... Read More about UMB BANK BRANCH TIME-LAPSE
THE TRANSFORMATION CONTINUES…
Transformation of the 1900’s Rock Island Steel Truss Bridge linking Kansas City, KS and Kansas City, MO continues. General Contractor, L.G. Barcus & Sons “lifted” the middle section to a new elevation 4 feet higher than before, in preparation for additional construction to begin. This work will transform the old bridge into a new destination entertainment venue, and P-Tn will share the progress. How do you manage to move a section of a 100 year old bridge even an inch (much less a few ... ALMOST TO THE FINISH LINE!
This project is approaching the ‘finish line’ and we’re sharing a look down the final stretch. We’ve been employing a P-Tn ProgressWEBCAM throughout this build to capture images for this full-length Time-Lapse Video. In addition, we’ve captured periodic aerial views of milestones by our drones and professional pilots. The end result – to-date – is this video from demolition to pre-landscape, which you can view HERE! We hope to add a few more exterior views once the landscaping is complete, ... SOLAR TRAILERS ARE POPULAR
Our ProgressWEBCAM Solar Trailers have been well received by a growing number of P-Tn clients in need of remote site monitoring capabilities. Typically this offers quick(er) deployment to the site, repositioning capabilities, and wireless + solar power to simplify installation and activation. We’ve based our ProgressWEBCAM System on this approach. However, we routinely handle custom installations that do not involve one of our Solar Trailers. We mount our monitoring cameras to poles, ... AIRPLANES TOO!
When a DRONE can’t do the job for our client’s aerials, we simply step-it-up with something bigger to get the altitude we need! P-Tn Head Photographer Travis Berndt recently took to the air with a professional pilot to capture a special composition – for a special client -- of downtown Kansas City. We had to wait patiently for the ‘right’ weather conditions, and he hit the mark … clear skies, no clouds, and virtually no haze, thanks to a quick spring storm a day or two before. This is a small ... Read More about AIRPLANES TOO!
WHERE ARE WE SHOOTING PHOTOS TODAY?
Can you tell what type of facility we are photographing in this shot? We do take countless photos (and videos) on construction sites for ‘linear’ projects like water / sewer mains or street improvements, plus construction progress photos (ground and aerial) on a wide variety of sites. However, we are also called upon to create marketing quality imagery of completed projects. These may be for social media and web content, for other advertising materials or digital displays, or for Wall ... Read More about WHERE ARE WE SHOOTING PHOTOS TODAY?
PRESERVE YOUR MILESTONES
We’ve shared some of the Wall Displays we’ve created for our clients in recent years, but we do this more often than you might realize. Good photographs should be shared – and not always by computer or online. Remember the spaces you work and live in! Photographic prints are NOT a thing of the past. Flat screen TV’s are a part of our interiors, but framed prints are too – still. P-Tn will take the professional images we capture and make color (or black & white, if you prefer) wall ... IS THIS YOUR COMPANY’s TEAM?
So, is this your company’s team? Just for grins, let us know if you think it is … or let us know if you’ve got a team that wants a group portrait! We shot this fine looking group recently for (obviously) a Kansas City Metro area construction company – a fine looking & colorful group of people. “Family” portraits like this are great for recording business milestones or special events and make for excellent social media features or website posting. They also offer possibilities for ... Read More about IS THIS YOUR COMPANY’s TEAM?
