No, I don’t think spring is around the corner – no way! Well, maybe. However, the Turner High School Building Trades residential home construction project IS on the final stretch of completion this spring … when spring does finally return. Our P-Tn ProgressWEBCAM has been patiently monitoring jobsite activities and construction work for nearly two years now. Completed by both students in training, and professional contractors. The Time-Lapse video we’ve been ‘building’ along the way is looking good! With only some exterior finishing, the driveway, and landscaping to go. HAVE A LOOK!
INSIDE, however, work goes on throughout the winter. Students are both learning and assisting the contractors as the interior spaces are completed and finished. The photos we added to the Timelapse VIDEO show some of the work going on that cannot be monitored thru the lens of our exterior Site-Monitoring Webcam. Be sure to note the SLIDESHOW at the end of the timelapse. This P-Tn timelapse is one of the longest we’ve created, and it includes P-Tn drone aerial footage plus these on-site student photos shared by instructor Scott Hughes. See more pics of students and this project at the THS Building Trades site on Instagram.
And by the way, P-Tn DOES deploy INTERIOR ProgressWEBCAM Systems. There are many situations where our commercial contractors want to monitor and share construction progress inside the larger spaces under construction once the main structure has been enclosed. Wireless broadband connections and super wide-angle cameras give the project team a great ‘real time’ progress view of the mechanical & finish work. Just like we do for exterior monitoring, a marketing-quality Time-Lapse Video is part of our deliverable when all the work is done – watch this LOBBY go from shell to finished.
This photo shows Travis Brungardt & Joe Cook, owners of Catalyst Construction in Prairie Village, Kansas instructing THS students inside the home. They have supported the Turner High School Building Trades Program since before this build, along with aiding in the production of this unique P-Tn Timelapse VIDEO of the school’s 7th Home Build! Their non-profit organization, BS AND BEER KC, has actively supported the program, as well. Visit that website at bsandbeerkc.org to learn more about their mission to bring professional builders together to share the latest Building Science knowledge … along with sharing a little beer, of course. Remember to view the Time-Lapse and we’ll post the much anticipated final version later this spring.
It has been a pleasure to assist the THS Building Trades Program by dedicating one of our P-Tn ProgressWEBCAM Site Monitoring units to the project. VISIT the Online ARCHIVEpics INTERFACE. Building takes time … so does introducing future adults to the trades, so they can become the next generation of builders. Congrats to their instructor Scott Hughes, and to the many other people who support Scott’s efforts and the program at Turner High School in Kansas City, Kansas.
Back to Turner High. The final version of the residential home Timelapse will not be available until late spring. It will include completion of the exterior and landscape, plus more of those interior shots of the Building Trades Class at work on their school project. If you or your business contributed to this latest home build, please feel free to share our current P-Tn Timelapse with your friends and customers. Let us know if you would like to obtain a personalized version with your name or logo included. Or perhaps, you’d like to make use of a ProgressWEBCAM on your next project. Give us a call.
In the meantime, we can all hope that warmer temps stay, and any snow melts away!
