P-Tn has been involved with the Rock Island Bridge project from the beginning of site construction activity, thanks to our friends & business clients at L.G. Barcus & Sons in Kansas City, Kansas. WE have been providing Visual Documentation services to the Barcus team on their projects for nearly 50 Years … and P-Tn has been in business just OVER 50 YEARS!
The Rock Island Bridge project – transforming this 1905 historic truss bridge that spans the Kansas River from Kansas to Missouri (or visa versa) into a destination entertainment venue – got underway in 2023, with initial structural upgrades to the bridge itself. We captured aerial and bridge-level photographs and video of the existing bridge and have added periodic progress updates and documented milestones throughout the renovation process. The final construction phase will be fully underway soon, with completion and planned opening in 2025.
