When I founded P-Tn a half century ago, computer software was not what it is today. Actually, it didn’t exist. So I had to wait a number of years before we could develop a new logo that helped reflect our unique position in the construction industry, where we focused on conventional photography to serve general contractors. As the business grew, we eventually provided aerial imaging, but we did not enter the realm of video for quite some time. Eventually, digital capture arrived … shortly thereafter we converted all of our imaging to digital capture and went on to embrace site-monitoring webcam systems and drone aerial imaging in both still & video formats. Somewhere in all that a logo was developed thru a joint effort by my brother and me. Still the foundation of our newly modified version, it has stood the test of time and identified P-Tn on jobsites throughout the Central Midwest and beyond – for decades. When our now “old” P-Tn logo was developed, creating what I truly wanted at the time was nearly impossible with those limited computer systems, and I recall working forever to end up falling short of what I truly wanted it to be. This new modification includes the iris of a camera lens against our plan sheet (blueprint) background, along with a reminder that we’ve been doing what we do now for more than a Half Century … 50+ Years!
