There’s more to come on this subject, but we noticed that one of our P-Tn Video ‘Shorts’ was shared on the Gannett Flemming Transystems (now simply GFT) website, as they were involved with the L.G. Barcus “LIFT” of the KCT Highline Rail Bridge between Kansas City KS and Kansas City MO. We will be sharing more video, time-lapse, and still photos, too, in the very near future.
Find that article thru the link below, but also visit the Barcus website learn what they’ve been doing for the last 100 Years … and plan to revisit soon to view their upcoming NEW PROJECT PAGE that will tell the story of this unique project.
This was just the beginning …
My sharing is not so much about lifting a 16 MILLION POUND bridge 16+ feet in the air, as it is P-Tn participating (in a very small way) in the process. We facilitated monitoring of the process by installing remote accessed ProgressWEBCAMS throughout the structure for viewing by the construction team. In addition, we captured ground level Time-lapse, plus drone aerial stills and video footage. This video from last fall captures only a portion of the work, as the new cables and lift motors were put in place. More to come.
