Not all of P-Tn’s out-of-town assignments involve large linear projects away from our home here in the Kansas City Metro. Those major projects do often prompt contractors to bring us in to document the project alignment for PRE-Construction and Post-Construction records. However, we also handle relatively small projects in small rural towns or remote locations. Pipelines are often the subject of our linear documentation, whether we shoot still PHOTOS or VIDEO … or DRONE AERIALS, for that matter. Water transmission mains, sewer transmissions mains, community sewer system improvements, manhole replacements throughout a city, main street streetscapes and improvements, new roadways and highways, and other projects are all in need of professional documentation … and bridges, too!
That’s what brought P-Tn Decatur, Kansas … a bridge repair project for one of our oldest clients. Although relatively small in comparison to the larger linear pipeline routes we often cover, a bridge repair or replacement project can also involve quite a bit of real estate – to include the project site, approaches, areas below (whether that’s a road, or a stream, or another railroad), laydown & material storage sites, and more. Any of those places can be affected by construction activities, and a PHOTO / VIDEO record of the pre-con conditions will likely save time and money later on by helping with restoration or avoiding disputes relating to pre-existing site conditions.
